Henry VIII is seeking a new wife, delegations from France, Scotland, Aragon and Bohemia(all played by the pupils) come to share their music, entertain and extol the virtues of their princess (poetry written by pupils).
In return Henry invites them to discover Tudor hospitality where the nobility eat much better than those seated lower down the table and social scale! There will be a jousting competition and finally Henry will choose his bride to be, with some help from Hans Holbein, the court artist.
We also offer an Elizabethan banquet and masque which features Sir Francis Drake and his dramatic tale of the defeat of the Spanish Armada.
Is it a bird?... The Cockatrice; a staple for any Tudor banquet - and full of surprises!
